Does this sound too corny?

You write very well for someone your age. I sense that you might have a future as a writer. As for what you want to say, it's not the least bit corny, in fact, it's rather sweet, but not too sweet. I would tell her exactly what you wrote. I'm sure she will appreciate it. Trust. ';-)
