Was anyone else a little disappointed this new years?

So, I had a great new years eve night. I'm sitting on the couch patiently waiting for midnight. We're watching the Clark special on t.v. The Jonas Brothers come on (eye twitch). Ryan Seacrest appears talking about our awesome eco-friendly ball (because apparently ovens don't require that much power...shya ok). Then I see the ball, it gets all shimmery, the count down happens. There's a huge buildup and then....nothing. It's like someone went "Oh it's 12, let's hit the off-switch on the ball." Where were the light displays? Where were the fireworks? Where was the New Years eve I'm used to? Did you see the New Years displays all over the world? Yea, I am not a happy camper. How about you?
