Please help I have been suffering with tinnitus, never exposed myself to loud music!?

Ok this is weird but here is what happened, I started out with really bad head cold, nothing shifted it, tried meds that didnt work,so I tried something of my own, i got a Qtip and and use to tickle just the inside of my nose which would cause me to sneeze and my nose to run , it would really clear crap out my head, and i know i shouldnt recommend it and many people wouldnt, but it does work! but I became a little forgetful as I used this technique on a regular basis whenever i got head colds, now this is were things went wrong, one day I realised I had stuck the qtip a little to deep inside my nose, i then began to experience something stuck in my nasal cavity, when i would lay down of a night i could feel this thing move, I developed very dry nose, because whatever was stuck was blocking the nasal page, what followed was a nose infection, this went on for 12 months, i went to doctors ents, and they could find nothing, i even had scans which also revealed nothing, i was on antibiotics for a whole year due to the recurring infection, now all this time for 12 months I kept trying to blow this thing out which I myself was convinced was stuck inside my nose, I had being blowing my nose for such a long time, i started to experience sharp shooting pain in the left side of my head, the left nostril (sinus cavity) being the culprit all along in this nightmare, as this is were i could feel this Qtip was stuck, I also had some sort of spasm in this side of my face which was obviously caused through blowing to hard, anyway this went on for a full 12 months like a vicious circle, when nothing was revealed on the scans, and noone could help me, I finally had took enough, it was such a nuisance not being able to get this thing out, I twisted my nose in such away, and blew really hard! low and behold this Qtip came out, and i have not experienced any problems since, no ENT could find the thing NO scan absolutely nothing worked!, thankfully I found my own solution, but now I am really worried, it was about 6 months later I developed Tinnitus in the left ear, it was so loud it was hell on earth, ive had it for nearly 12 months, mainly in the left ear, but I am convinced its all down to this previous condition, 12 months of straining my nose through blowing, I feel like I have ruptured something in my head, as the sharp pain in the left of my head is still there at time when the tinnitus is worse, I feel like a moran telling anybody about this, I couldnt even begin to tell my doctor all of this, as only a moran could stick something so far up ones nose! and be oblivious to the consequences!
