I want a stronger bond with God than my Lutheran church appears to be giving me, any alternatives?

I'd think about Catholicism, but it seems too corrupt, I've tried emblies of God, but it's too intense (I.e. Too much loud music and dancing, not enough of the Good News.). And the more southern denominations (Methodist/Baptist) just seem strange and in some cases too anti-, anti-Semite and anti-Catholic. Anything that will work?
