Since I still look at Michael Jackson as a black man...?

How is it that I'm wrong if I call a person who used to be male a Man. MJ appears to be white but born black...so how can I not call a she-he a He? Candice Cayne is a dude! He chose to do that to his body, I'm not wrong for calling him a he? or am i.....?
